The print cartridge is capable of producing up to 400 color (450 monochrome) sheets in its lifetime. An optional photo cartridge (HP 58) makes available HP's exclusive PhotoRet IV color layering technology. HP rates the printer speed at up to 9 ppm black, 8 ppm color in draft mode.
